Attorney Lucas B. Cowan is a partner at Boggs, Cowan, and Fargione, a personal injury and family law firm based in Athens, Georgia. He has been licensed to practice law in Georgia since 2016 and has been representing private clients since 2019.

Lucas began his legal career as a prosecutor for the State of Georgia, focusing on felony and misdemeanor cases in the Western Judicial Circuit. That prosecutorial experience — knowing how opposing attorneys, insurance adjusters, and government lawyers build their cases — gives him a meaningful strategic advantage in personal injury litigation and family law matters.

Since entering private practice, Lucas has represented injured Georgians and families navigating divorce, custody disputes, and other civil matters across Georgia's Superior and State Courts, including jury trials. He is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Gwinnett County Bar Association, and the Walton County Bar Association.

Mr. Cowan attends Athens Church with his wife and two sons. If he is not in a courtroom or meeting with clients, then he enjoys watching UGA sports, playing golf, and spending time with his family. He has been part of the Athens, Georgia community since 2017.
